About this proof

It possesses greater detail and clarity, particularly on the player’s face, jersey, and glove. The outer portions and borders of the card have similar defining characteristics, while the nameplate appears as a solid color. There are registration marks near all four corners. The text on the reverse side has narrower lines.

Did you know?

Ernie Russell won four Stanley Cups in five years for the Montreal Wanderers from 1906-1910. In 1907, while he was banned from hockey, he led his football team (Montreal Football Club) to a 75-10 victory in the Dominion Rugby Championship of Canada—the precursor to the Grey Cup. He is probably best remembered for scoring five consecutive hat tricks—a record which has never been equaled in the long history of the NHL.
